Slap Box Music Group, founded by James Miller, announced it's launch today with the release of Lords of Gotham's gritty, gut-checker "RoNINtro"(pronounced Ro-nin-tro). Slap Box Music Group looks to lead the pack with an out of the box approach to investing and managing artists. Early in 2020, James met with Music Headquarters to bring his vision of a national music community to life. Operated by MHQ owner and now Slap Box Executive Vice President, Joe Domenech stated, "What Slap Box will do for the artist-record label relationship will be a precedent for the music industry. By eliminating the chance of debt for the artist with equity investments per project, we're ensuring a smooth partnership that'll last in perpetuity. Think of us not as a record label, but more like a member of your band. We're taking that approach to the grand scale." The first group Slap Box decided to become "band mates" with are Lords of Gotham out of New York City. When asked why LOG was number one, Joe Domenech replied, "I first heard RoNINtro and it was a no-brainer. They're a raw group from NYC, we've seen this story before. Now it's time to re-write it in 2020 the L-O-G way." Lords of Gotham consists of the punchline professional Mike De Niro, in the pocket tighter than skinnys King Huey and the enigmatic Eddy Nygz. Look for their debut album with Slap Box in early 2021.
